النقش على النحاس من الحرف اليدوية التى ارتبطت ارتباطا وثيقا بالفن الإسلامى حيث يهتم هذا الفن بالزخارف والرسومات الهندسية والنباتية على جدران وأسقف العديد من المبانى كالمساجد والمدارس والقصور وغيرها من المنشآت التاريخية، وهو أحد الفنون التى ما زالت تحتفظ ببريقها، ولا تزال منتجات النحاس المزخرفة بالنقوش تحظى بإقبال كبير وخصوصاً من السياح الأجانب الذين يقبلون على اقتنائها و إهدائها لأقاربهم ومحبيهم فى بلدانهم. تتم عملية النقش على النحاس يدويا باستخدام أدوات تقليدية كالمطرقة و المسامير مما يضفي على كل قطعة نفحة التميز و الأصالة.
وتعتبر صناعة النحاس من أبرز الفنون الحرفية في المغرب و أكثرها جمالا و عراقة ، كما أنها من أكثر الحرف اليدوية التقليدية التي ابدع فيها حرفيون متمرسون و متمكنون من مهارات الحرفة تبدع أيديهم تحفا فنية تثير الإعجاب و الدهشة ، ويبدع الصناع و الحرفيون في صنع الأوان و الديكورات و كذا مشغولات متقنة و مزينة بالألوان و الرسومات من أواني الشاي و الأطباق و الأباريق و القدور و الفوانيس و المغاسل والمباخر و الأساور و الخناجر و القلادات و بقية أنواع الحلي ، الى البنادق و المسدسات التقليدية و الأبواب.
للمنتوجات النحاسية مكانة مهمة لدى المغاربة يستعملونها في ديكورات البيوت و تجهيز العروس و لاستقبال الضيوف في المناسبات الإجتماعية . ومن المدن المغربية العتيقة التي تشتهر بفن النقش على النحاس نجد كلا من مدينة فاس و مكناس ثم مدينة الرباط و مراكش و تازة ، و يتم توزيع المنتوجات النحاسية على بقية المدن المغربية و تصدير بعضها الى الخارج خاصة الأسواق الأوروبية.

Copper products have an important place for Moroccans, who use them in home decorations, preparing the bride and receiving guests at social events. Among the ancient Moroccan cities that are famous for the art of engraving on copper, we find both the city of Fez and Meknes, then the city of Rabat, Marrakesh and Taza, and copper products are distributed to the rest of the Moroccan cities and some of them are exported abroad, especially European markets.
